Dave Whalley Joins Dig A Crusher
Middlewich-based attachment specialist has announced the appointment of industry veteran Dave Whalley to head up the company’s ongoing drive into the demolition and recycling sectors. Whalley’s appointment coincides with the introduction of a large number of new demolition products – including Rotar shears, grabs and grapples – and serves to underline the company’s commitment to this important market area.
Whalley – who will be based in Altringham and will cover the North of England and Scotland - brings with him an unparalleled level of experience in the attachments business. Indeed, his CV reads like a who’s who of the attachments sector, taking in the likes of JCB, Kubota, Komatsu, Verachtert and Caterpillar.
Most recently, Whalley worked with Kinshofer. But, having officially retired, he says that his passion for the attachments business was rekindled by Dig A Crusher and its managing director Sean Heron.
"Dig A Crusher has compiled a portfolio of superb products; attachments with which I am completely at home. I saw the opportunities of attachments many years ago and realised there is a huge market in the UK to optimise excavator use on site, and that is a philosophy that Sean Heron shares,” Whalley says. “Sean has identified the world leaders in attachments and to cherry-picked the best products to suit the UK market. This has proved hugely successful and I look forward to working with Sean and Dig A Crusher."
Sean Heron is similarly enthusiastic. "With the very successful introduction of the new family of attachments, Dig A Crusher have brought into the market, the company sought out an expert in this field, with some real heavyweight experience," said Sean. "We found that perfect candidate in David."
